Hi everyone
I hope you are all well, and enjoying some time outside in the lovely weather, in your garden.
I have a challenge for you, lets see who can build the biggest tower, you can use anything from construction toys such as Lego or Stickle Bricks or even cardboard boxes, lets see if you can build this as big as the tallest person in your house.
If you have pre-school children at home see if they can tell you what they need to do to make the best, biggest, tallest tower. See if they can look at the base and how this can help the tower to be strong.
I would love to see some pictures of your towers if Mums and Dads can take pictures without faces and email to me on treetotsnursery@outlook.com I can put them on the blog and on FB.
I also wanted to mention singing at home. I know that the children love the chance to have a good sing and dance but I know that some grown ups find it a challenge or are not sure which songs the children sing at nursery. On Spotify there is a good selection if you search nursery rhymes uk and run through the play list. The children know lots of these and at the end of a fortnight so will you lovely parents.
Next week I am going to see if we can look at phonics and complete activities at home and some maths challenges.
Below there is a recipe for play dough. Lucy from Blue Room found this recipe and this makes lovely play dough. If you cannot get all the ingredients you could make salt dough. To make this you need 1 cup of salt, 2 cups of plain flour. Mix this together then add water a bit at a time and keep adding until you have a ball of dough. The advantage of salt dough is you can bake it on a low heat in the oven and decorate it.
